sheerider11
What are these really worth now that you can get 4s for 190 new. I just paid 120 for vf2 pedals. I have a set of vf3 cages and I'm holding off on buying pedals because I don't know what they are worth used. The low price of the 4s is throwing me off. So now does the value if these fall to penny's because new is so cheap?
WINDYCITYJOHN400
No. Plenty of drag guys still covent the 2's and will pay $150-$200 for a set. 3's..........value falling. Would you buy replacement reeds for 3's.....or just list them on Ebay and go buy 4's?
sheerider11
I have 2s in my bike. I have the 3 cages with no pedals for my girlfriends bike. I'm debating on selling the cages and buying the 4s. Then I need to decide which bike gets them
RagunCajun
Why do drag guys love the 2's ?
WINDYCITYJOHN400
Why do drag guys love the 2's ? They have always made top peak power numbers. Years ago when the 3's came out, people were very pissed when they made lower peak power numbers. The 4's offer peak power numbers that are like the 2's (Admittedly the 2's can make 1-3 more HP, but only at the very peak) But the 4's can make sometimes 7+ more Hp at mid RPM (7500) and with much crisper throttle response. Plus they flow so well on the bottom and that you need to go up one pilot size. So, for diehard peak number guys and full on Alky drag bikes........no sense in trying to win them over since the 2's are about equal for what they do. But if your riding involves anything other than sub 4 second drag runs......the 4's are your best choice.
sheerider11
So I should sell my 3 cages ( I guess worth almost nothing) and fund the 4s. Seems like the 3s were a failed attempt to better a already good product. The design was there, but the out come wasn't what people wanted. RagunCajun
Thanks john. I have worn out 3'S. Im just going to go ahead as planned and buy new vf4 reeds for my super serval build. I love a crisp throttle so thats icing on the cake.
