luv2ride
Anyone ever run into this issue? New plugs works for the most part. I'm just trying to chase it down. I don't know what it is or where it's coming from. Spark looks weak after running for a while but will push start no problem. It's frustrating. Any ideas would be awesome. When it does kick start it always fires on the 2nd kick. Carbs are clean, idles perfectly runs great.
hoppedupandcutdown
I'd say you're due for a top end. The next time it doesn't want to kick start hot, try pouring a little premix oil in the spark plug holes. If it fires right up, its your rings. Or worse. bansheeboie
Check your compression
rocketracing
Sounds like a weak stator or coil. If it cranks when its cold and then hard to crank when it gets hot, it isnt going to be the rings. You need to ohm out the stator, pulser, and ignition coil. I bet one or the other will be your problem
RadarRacing
I am kinda with rocket. I would guess coil first , stator second, then cdi. All easy parts to swap out. If it was the other way around cold/hot I would be thinking compression instead too.
luv2ride
Alright here's the deal. I've been through everything with a fine tooth comb. It comes down to plugs. Been using NGK BR8ES after riding for more than 15-20 minutesit won't restart - plugs are fouled out. They're totally clean, no oil residue, no nothing. Any ideas for a plug that won't foul out? Secondly why? Why is this happening? Fuel perhaps?
m671054
Stator is failing when warm.
Brian Mcgowan
buy a dva adapter for a multimeter and check your stator output. or leak down test? shitty fuel? compression, fire, fuel
georgie
check your spark plug boots for cracks. might be grounding to your throttle cable when its warmed up
skywalker7374
Rings are sticking, as the bike warms up the rings have less space especially with carbon build up... They will usually start cold unless its real bad, but once they are warmed up the rings stick. It wont really be noticeably while riding until you shut it off and go to start it again.
