sprinklerman
Cams dyno reads within 1 to 2 hp of sandtrax in tulsa oklahoma, sprinklerman and maybe someone else ,if they wana speak up, can post some proof. I am not a redline customer, yet. Truth^ I had my "as-cast" Serval dyno'ed when i 1st got it at HRI PowerSports in Texarkana,Tx and i got 74-75hp. ( I think i posted a sheet on here back then). Then Cam dyno'd the cyls , as i sent them to him, (no modifications) to get a baseline reading before porting. His dyno was within 1-2hp. He called me and told me what they dyno'd at, and i guess he was expecting me to freak out or something because it was "low". I told him what we got down here and we were within 1-2hp. After porting he dyno'd it (sheet in dyno section) and i compared his results ( on 2 motors) to HRI and Dunetoyz in Muskogee,Ok ,and were within 1-2hp. So im sure his dyno is in the ballpark of most. BTW: Are we questioning the results 4 months in advance? .... My thing is this : Who cares WHAT the numbers are,,what correction factor he uses, whether it reads high or low,,,, we are COMPARING numbers at the same time at the same place,,who cares what the numbers are.. we are just comparing. You could remove the numbers all together for all i care,,its the comparison ( overlay) of each pipes optimal chart that matters. Put 0 powers on there, its the graph overlay i'm interested in. And i'll say this too, I bet no single pipe will do BEST at everything. One may come on sooner , others may give you more top-end,some more mid range, one may have a smoother delivery ,,but with the COMPARISON , you can pick which pipe will be best for what you need. (example: I prefer Pro Circuits for trails and playing over Shearers any day. In the dunes , i like CPI, dragging, i like Shearers)
SonOfSand
Following... Just want to say thanks to everyone putting in the time and effort to do this. Hope it doesn't turn into a shit storm like most things do around here. I'm shopping for a new set of pipes this winter for a 10 mil serval im putting together so I really do hope this goes down. I hope you plan on running gear oil and a drain bolt on this build.

jayzx10r
Since this seems to be Hijack Thread Central, I have a subjective dyno Q to ask: it has to do with the effect of tires on a HP result. (Q) If you use a 80HP quad as a baseline for this example---and you pulled 80HP with slicks. What would the estimated HP difference be if stock tires were used on a following run, everything else unchanged? I ask because my bud's shop has a 2 wheel dyno setup but doesn't have dyno wheels since they primarily test motorcycles there. Could tire pressure alter the result? What PSI should I run on the test on my Dunlop knobbies? Edited October 13, 2013 by jayzx750
locogato11283
You shouldn't use knobbies at all.
jayzx10r
You shouldn't use knobbies at all. It's either stockers or Haulers.... that's all I have available. I'll try the stockers first!! lol Best guess on my original Q? Edited October 13, 2013 by jayzx750
locogato11283
Neither will be accurate. You need slicks.
Redline Racing
Don't use haulers you'll want rippers. Make sure tge operator is wearing a helmet with a Go Pro.

BUILDER
I have had my bike on Cam's dyno many times and we used gliders every time we ran it. After you make about 10 passes they day down enough rubber to start sticking.
trickedcarbine
I've seen them pull harder and longer than CPI on a 4mm drag motor. I don't think you've got any real experience with them like I do. No, I guess not. I've owned 3 sets though and been on the dyno with 4 different motor combos with the rockets as well. But shit, I've never timed my self driving 6 seconds up a fucking hill so you obviously have to know more then me. (Fucking MEAT HEAD)
