kwchico
i just thought of something. on the carb slide/barrel there is a flat bottomed straight edege side and a side with a curved bottom. which side should face the aire filters? i have the curved side facing the aire filter. is the flat side supposed to be facing that way instead? kwchico
is there a removable pilot jet on the keihin 34mm carbs?? I think only the main jet comes out on those right? the pilot jet is stationary right? I just blew compressed air threw the carb without removing the jets or choke lever. Looked pretty clean. kwchico
Checked reeds out on left cylinder and a whole pedal was broken off! Luckily there are aftermarket carbon fiber reeds! They looked tan/yellowish. And the ones that werent broken were really worn. You can see where they dont make a seal at all. So Im guessing the right cylinder reeds are worn as well, hense the hard start. So this is my issue 100% right? It was totally broken off from the base. Please let me know! I also noticed that they have hand ported the manifold?? Where is a good place to order aftermarket reeds? Thanks!
#1JUANstunna
Buy new reeds and I bet you will be back in business. Try any of the sponsors for parts. I've used TDR, FAST, and Wildcard, but any of them will take care of you.
kwchico
Preferably somewhere in Florida. I need them ASAP. They are twin reeds. Two for each side. How can I tell if I have a stock or aftermarket reed cage?? I do NOT want to order the wrong ones.

kwchico
I will call them monday. TRD is in FL but it seems like they only have v force reeds?? My reeds looked kind of clear, with a shade of tan/yellow. How can I tell if I have stock reed cages? Looks like they hand ported the manifolds. Would someone put keihen black top carbs on a stock bore??
