locogato11283
Tyler, http://gopro.com/software-app/gopro-studio Native GoPro software, which can convert if needed. Works on Windows 8. Windows 8 uses hardware support to play MP4 files- just download the Community Codec Pack, and make sure your video drivers are up to date. NVIDIA released one like a week ago. Gotta link for that Dave? I've read that's not always a fix.
dirtdigginjoe
Gotta link for that Dave? I've read that's not always a fix. The CCCP is here: http://www.cccp-project.net/ It has every codec, so it should help. I'd suggest the GoPro software first
manny 2004 banshee
Tell me about it. I bought my laptop with windows 8 on it, and it's sat collecting dust after the first day of use. LCW
I'm running 8 pro 64 bit and have no problems. My Lumia 1020 records 1080p in mp4 format. Plays them fine. You might just make sure drivers are up to date, and try the codec links everyone posted. I'll do so digging and get back to you on it. locogato11283
NVM, I fixed that part. Dave, your GoPro converter didn't work. I get an error message when I try to play the converted videos. It says "Can't Play. This video was encoded by some shit that isn't supported by shitty fucking Windows 8." Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 4 Dave is dajogermanium... I'm leery of shit I don't know anything about.. I've read in searches where the codec packs did nothing. Every search I've turned up tells me it's because Windows 8 sucks dick. So you think installing the codec shit will work? That website looks pretty fucking suspect.
