2006 Banshee Tuning Issues - REALLY need help/advice!

Wow some awesome advice in this thread for sure. Best one is from the guy who just started a thread about how people on here are parts changers and not real mechanics. So for starters if it was the clutch side case seal it would be smoking like a bitch out the right side pipe and you would be loosing case oil so we know your idea is wrong. Second everyone keeps telling him to check his seats in his carbs because they may be dry and rotted. Well if they are dry and rotted then when he turns the gas on it would be running gas all over the floor out of the carbs so we can eliminate that also. Probably the best GUESS out of any was Zilla who said a broken reed but stock reeds almost never break and if you do loose a reed they usually start like shit so I am guessing that is not the issue either. You either have a electrical issue with the bike or they put your carbs back together wrong when they had them apart. Take it by Dave's and let him look it over. I have already told him I would be more than happy to give him a hand if he cant figure it out but I am guessing he will find it with no issue. Keep up the great advice guys!

I would be sure and check the brake fluid level because that could be the issue also. Only the rear brake fluid front will not cause that kind of a problem.

Hey everyone, first just wanted to say thanks to you all for the input and advice to a "newbie" Banshee owner, feel like I've learned quite a bit already.  So here's the latest on the bike, if anyone is interested :)

Last night at 1am while getting the bike loaded into the truck for transport to Dave5.0's place in Hubbard, I noticed when shutting the bike down that only the left hand pipe was hot, the right hand pipe was stone cold.  Which further supports that it's an issue with right carb, obviously.  Dave5.0 said it was likely only running on one cylinder, which actually kind of impressed me cause the bike was still fast as shit, even at half mast.  I had thought about the reeds as well last night, and am considering putting on V3 or v4 reeds here soon anyway, basically the very last modification (well, that and a cool head + 22 cc domes) I plan on doing as I have no intent of messing with the engine, wanna leave that be.  Do you all think it would be a good idea to install the V3 or V4 reeds?  I realize it would have to be (once again) re-jetted after installing, but I've heard great things about the boost in performance they offer.  Any advice?

So anyway, Dave is gonna take the bike apart at his leisure, repack my silencers (hopefully), and do some other general maintenance on it.  I plan on coming back out to his place to both watch/assist so I learn all this on my own.  The guys at Power Yamaha did give me a call this morning asking if I was still bringing the bike by, so they at least get a nod for good customer service and follow up even for non-paying work.

Lastly, I do really appreciate the offers on the bike sent to me via PM last night and today, very generous, but I'm going to keep the bike for now and see this project through, been through way too much with it to just up and sell it.  But if that changes for any reason, I'll be sure to post on BansheeHQ before anything else to give you all first opportunity on it.  Responding in a bit to the PM's about parts too, just been a busy Monday.   Thanks again, everyone, will be sure to keep the status updated on here, guess we'll find out soon enough what the deal is!  Oh, and I did check the tire pressure first thing when I noticed I was having issues with the carbs as I realize they have a direct correlation to one another, even adjusted them from 4.3 to 4.5 PSI, but for whatever reason that didn't fix the problem.  But thanks anyway, Skeeter, good lookin' out.

Also, the clutch side case gasket or seal (if we're talking about the same thing) was just replaced with a brand new OEM one from Lanphere when I installed the new ProDesign Water Impeller and gear. I was very careful when doing it, and gently scraped all the old paper-ish reside off that the old gasket left behind, wiped down with a shop towel and used air to make sure no paper was left behind, and then installed the new clutch gasket and closed her back up.  And I don't have gas running out of the bike at all during operation or after shutting her down from idling or running, I've been sure to check each time.
