Banshee Dying Out Of The Hole.

Hey guys

When I went riding this weekend. I noticed that my Banshee was dying when I would take it out the hole. (Example) I have it WOT and then I pop the clutch , it wont stay on power. It cycles threw the gears normal and I still have my Top End power its just out of the hole. What do you guys think it might be ? I pulled my Reeds off and they look good. I pulled my Plugs off and they look good. I have a fairly new Clutch which I think it wouldn't matter. This just started to on Sunday. When I used to take it out of the Hole she will never loose power at all.

yup... check compression for sure. IF it was working good before hand and now experiencing power loss under hard load.. never usually a good sign.

unless you changed something such as gearing jetting temps that could effect your jetting or what not

Would bad or clogged up carbs do that ? I was also having problems shifting gears as well. It wouldn't go into 3rd and 6th at high RPM. Also when I would power shift 2nd to 3rd it would go into neutral. I don't know if that would be a contributing factor. I have a fairly new transmission assembly that I was going to put in. But I don't know if that would effect the power loss out of the hole.

Yes. Pilot jet dirty/plugged. Or low comp.

Neutral between 2nd and 3rd is bad.

A comp check would be easiest thing to check first. If it's ok I'd move to carbs.

Thanks will do.

should be cleaning carbs on a seasonal if not yearly basis IMO...

the mystery neutral can be a common thing... Make sure your essentric screw is properly adjust.. could also be worn shift forks.

shifting issue is in its own department.. your bogging out launching is a dif story....  go clean your carbs make sure their synced etc... good plugs, good compression, clean airfilter etc....

All of the Jets on the carb are new. I just finished taking apart my motor and everything looks perfect except the piston crown. It looks way to rich. Besides that everything else looks perfect Cylinders, Reeds and Head. I did notice inside the right CPI was my o-ring in pieces. I don’t know if that has anything to do. I took everything apart since I am doing my transmission work. Thanks for your feedback.

It was very HOT that day and I was running on 340 mains I also had to change plugs because it was fouling them. I had on BR9ES and swapped it to B8ES. It did run alot better. I didnt try to take it hole after swap.
