Juss11
So just looking for ideas? I have a 4mill dune port with long rod. Im going to be running 28mm PWKs,v4 reeds,t5,custom cut doms for pump gas & k&n pods, at sea level. So Kevin at herjuggs said to start with a 155/55 does that sound about right? Also what position should my needle jet be set at? I forgot to ask him. Edited September 22, 2013 by Juss11
Surfrjag
that should be close. i would guess a little more on main, maybe start with a 160. what needle are you using? i usually start with needle in middle clip position. im running at sea level with a stock stroke motor 48/155 n68a needle vf4's will require a larger pilot jet
Juss11
I have to look and see what needles they are. So I do have some 158 mains, I will start with those. Thanks for the great advice
Strm Trpr
Yep, that's a good starting point for sure. Don't forget about the other aspects of building an engine and tuning. 1st and foremost - Leakdown check 2nd Idle 1450 - 1550 rpm 3rd Carb Sync @ idle 4th Carb Sync @ 5500 rpms 5th Plug Chop
