SheeHog Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Hey Guys, I just installed my reeds on my Shee and what a freaking difference those things make!!! I had my neighbor take her for a spin..he's a big boy, 6'2, 250 min. He couldnt keep the front on the ground...I was laughing the whole time:) I just put in new plugs b/c it kinda sputters when you first get going...New plugs didnt help...still sputters until you get up to 3-4000 rpms then it wakes up. I am running 290's with T4's and I am right around 500ft from sea level...I was always fowling plugs before without the reeds so I figure i need to jet down but I am not sure what to run because everyone here seems to run like 300 or 320's....its also idleing a lot lower now and sounds like it barely stays running. what have most of you experienced when putting new reeds in? Thanks Quote

Thanks Reeds will richen the mixture from idle to 3/4 throttle. You could have gotten the same gains by raising the needles. What are you running for a pilot?? Sounds like they might be rich.. Quote
