Tiestofan813
I bought a set of laeger +2+1 LT a arms with fox float evolutions and I can't seem to get much help with setting them up. They seem very stiff to me the main chamber is at 53 and the evol is at 150. I'm 220lbs can anyone help with what might be the issue. locogato11283
Here's my Laeger LT arms and Fox Evos. I haven't touched them since initial setup last year. Have you ridden on them yet?
RagunCajun
How yall like floats compared to elka's?

locogato11283
Wats better floats or custom axis? How yall like floats compared to elka's? I would say they are both loaded questions. Floats and Axis are both very nice shocks. They will both perform very well on many different types of terrain. Here's my take on it.. I would run a coiled shock for MX any day over an air shock. For hillclimbing, I like the way my Floats stick to the ground better than my Elkas did. Both ride amazing in the sand. It's a toss up there. I would check our budget and buy the best shock you can without breaking the bank.
sheerider11
Wats better floats or custom axis?My floats hug the ground. Especially where we ride they are nice in all the whoops. I'm seeing a lot more pros run floats now too. Adjustability on the fly is a huge plus. But my next set up will be long travel. No doubt about it. Not sure if air or sprung tho. RagunCajun
I talked to atv galaxy. He recommended elkas over floats due to floats needing air checked every few rides. For fox air suspesnion owners, How much maintenance is enloved? They are near the same price so thats not an issue for me. I hate the color's of elka so I may end up with fox anyway. stink989
I love my floats! They realy do "float" over the rough stuff. Checked the pressure a few days ago and they dropped 5psi in 12 months in the main chamber. Now that could have just been the pump getting put on aswell. locogato11283
I set mine up in September 2012. I've never touched them or checked anything since. I've been on two sand trips and about 15 hillclimbs since then. I don't even remember what I originally set them up at.
Coupelx
If the shaft on a conventional shock gets pitted it needs replaced anywho.
