Jgspahn
Is this supposed to be gapped? Its really really tight. Also.. how can I tell if the woodruff key on the flywheel is seated correctly when I put it on.. I meant it goes on there, but I cant see in there to be sure it didnt just push up or something. Jgspahn
Do I just bend it out? I didn't see an adjustment mechanism.
lms1977
loosen the screws and slide it out some
Thomas_S
There's a screw that will let you move it closer or farther away it should be right behind it or above. take a empty spark plug box and use the flap part of it to size the gap. Strm Trpr
Why are you messing with it? IIRC, it should be gapped to .019".
Jgspahn
Why are you messing with it? IIRC, it should be gapped to .019". trickedcarbine
18-19 thou. The business card thing is ok, but real feeler gauges get it perfect and allow you to see any variance between the two pick up points on the flywheel. If there is a heigh difference on the pick ups, file the higher one down so that they are uniform.
Jgspahn
I used a feeler gauge and got it pretty close. Thanks for the help guys.
