KEVPOPPAPUMP
For those of you that have rode Glamis recently (i.e. Halloween), were the BLM's doing sound DB tests? Last year I rode my Shee without the hush kit, but this T-Day I'm wondering if it'll be necessary.

I mean dosent someone have to complain about the noise first? I have FMF's and they do not make a hush kit. Im wondering how 90% of the people with non stock bikes will be able to ride if so? I don't think 4 strokes will be able to pass with aftermarket pipes either

Anyways I was at glamis for Halloween and it didn't seem like they were checking for sound tests, but let me know if you want to put a hush kit on your FMF's, i know it can be done... 400grl
I had my T-5's out there all weekend - no one said a thing. I seriously doubt they are actually going to try to test people........they have way too much other stuff to worry about out there!
Dragg-on
i was at gordons, everyone had drag pipes, and so did I, no problem
Indubitably
I was also out at Gordons and non one got checked to me knowledge Hey Dragg-On which bike was yours there were a ton of drag bikes out there, at least more than i'm used to seeing
KEVPOPPAPUMP
Cool deal! I'll bring the Hush Kit just in case but will run without it like previous trips. Glamis is the only place I'd run without it since there is no chance of causing a forest fire and there is noise 24-7. BTW I say this cause the new Hush Kits are available with a spark arrestor built in. This is cheaper than buying 2 seperate bolt-ons and noise is suppressed for those riding area near homes. Ultimateduner
I've rode at Glamis my whole life and I have never heard of the ranger doing checking how loud your bike is. So when they do this do they tell you to shut it off and go home?
lian
how much louder are procircuts compared to aftermarket and stock pipes
KEVPOPPAPUMP
how much louder are procircuts compared to aftermarket and stock pipes Pro Circuits are about as loud as FMF fatties, not as loud as T5's, DMC's, or CPI's, and louder than stock
silveradohd
I would not worry. Rangers are not checking. If they do start, they will need a lot more rangers.
KEVPOPPAPUMP
I would not worry. Rangers are not checking. If they do start, they will need a lot more rangers. Well some peeps on the ASA site have mentioned that the BLM officers are now certified to use the sound measuring equipment and have been prior to Halloween. I believe the ticket is $25 so getting one won't break me, but the new season pass fee will! Making sure every vehicle in camp has a pass seems to be what the BLM is most aggressive about and thats good!
Justintoxicated
they are not checking yet, but they could potentil start checking on a big weekend liek thanksgiving, I hope not because thats the first chance I may get to ride my shee this season.
