Wow Talk About Power & Accelleration

Recommended Posts

its something like 600-800hp per cylinder. I love going to Maple Grove, and Englishtown in PA here. Close to sea level and if you catch it on a good weekend with low humidity and good racing temps track wise and air wise they are quite record setting tracks.

I forget who it was but they turned a 4.38 I believe but couldnt back it up for the record. They are amazing to watch go down the track, if you've never seen it live, its nothing like it is on tv. And going into the pits and watching them tear apart an engine and put it back together in 45 minutes is crazy. Guy using big ass gloves to pull out the clutch plates, and after two with one hand he's gotta switch cause its burning him through the gloves so bad.

They are one gear, the clutches are slipping when it first starts going down the track and they heat up and weld themselves together to fully engage.

Hey all,

Here is a thought....Can you imagine being a top fuel drag driver and blasting off to 330 mph in seconds......and then the wife asks you to go to the store for milk in your sloooow ass car.

Even the fastest street car would seem teeeeribly sloooooooow !

ponder that......

Nick
