jbooker82
well damn. So gas PWK's can't be change over to alky? Yea they can because they just drill the dump tube out. Once you do that your stuck at that size or larger. That's why you cant convert PWK that have been setup for Methanol back to gasoline. jbooker82
PWK33 and larger have non removable dump tubes. It just cast in to the carb body. According to Sudco's parts catalog it shows that the PWK28's have replacable dump tubes. DeadbeatOperator
I think I'm just gonna have to get some new ones. They are the 35 airstrikers. I think I broke a reed today too. Only fires on the right side at idle and when it gets in the revs both fire. Does not want to idle but when it gets on the pipe it goes like normal. jbooker82
Actually the dump tube assembly comes out and is replacable. Ive done it on 35s and 39s. Not my video but Fast forward to 1:20. How do you replace the part that the main threads in to? It looks like a cast piece that is held on with 2 tamper resistant torkxs screws. I am sure you can take it off but if Sudco doesn't sell it your cant buy a new one. About your only hope would be to find a junk carb to rob the part off of. DeadbeatOperator
If I had the parts I could fix it. Tamper proof torx are the least of my worries. If anybody has some trashed airstrikers that whey are willing to tear apart or donate it would be greatly appreciated.
