ghott
I'm not well-versed in the area of drag wheels or tire sizes so I'm hoping a few members with some experience can help me out.Douglas .125 aluminum blue label REAR wheels...if one is drag cut - what is the approximate weight savings over a non drag cut blue label? For those that have purchased drag cut wheels before - is Sand Toys the best place to purchase? Do the Sand Toys wheels come with valve stems installed? And lastly - is there any reason NOT to run a 21x12-8 (Padla Brat) or a 22x11-8 (Pro Wedge) on an 8x7 rim vs. an 8x8 rim? I'm wanting to go with an 8x7 rim size to try and save even more weight but I'm a little concerned that it might not be wide enough for the tires in question? #1JUANstunna
You will want to run a wider wheel on the Wedges. They grow so bad with wheel speed. If I had it to do over again I'd go wider than 8" just to flatten them out.
springer
jd said the paddla brats are also wider than a normal tire like skat trak or something, so i dont know if that would mean you would want to run a wider wheel also.
