Jereme6655
Hey guys..... so last winter I built a motor for my buddy. 421 serval from FAST. fmf pipes, boysen reeds, stock carbs.........pipes and carbs will be next on the list of goodies. Problem is.....we ride wide open trails.....he spends a majority of his time in the 5th to 6th gear range. Right now he is running 20" rear tires and 1st gear is useless.......spins the piss right out of them. He's also topping 6th out and getting slightly bored with the speed..... My question......do you guys believe that the serval motor has enough to pull with a 16 tooth?
possum
17 41 no problem
RagunCajun
If it's wide open trails, consider some pro wedge 2 tires. They grow on 2-3 inches once you get some good mph. They hook have but you can kiss goodbye to donuts and other stuff that needs that ass end to slide around
locogato11283
I ran 15/41 on the 4mm Serval I won Nationals with. 22" cut Ambush. It will easily pull 16/41 with a set of 20" tires.
RagunCajun
Got some pics and/or video of that bike loco?
sprinklerman
22" cut Ambush. This. Tell you friend he needs some 22" tires. It'll make all the difference in his hook up.
RagunCajun
Those look like Kenda Knarlys. I have a cut set of Knarlys. Work great in damp dirt. On hard stuff, it will spin all day unless you have some major power/wheel speed. Edited August 26, 2013 by RagunCajun
locogato11283
Got some pics and/or video of that bike loco? Right here... It's my old chassis set up with rjdgriff's 4mm Serval with 35PWK and Rockets. Just FYI, I beat a Redline stock stroke 80hp motor to win the title. The run is at the 1:18 mark of this video. rubberneck
Gonna have to call bullshit on you winning anything with a serval. All the experts around here say servals suck
