chilled
Anyone have these? http://www.bansheedepot.com/proddetail.asp?prod=22%2D5734&cat=54 Seems to be the right price. Anyone have experience with them? What size is a stock carb? What's the best gain for going bigger? Thank you all Dave
fastbanshee8
Stock carbs are 26mm, and unless you have a huge cc motor, that is way too much carb. They are also round slides, which aren't the best. I've got a stock cylinder 4 mil, and these are what I'm using. They perform better, and are quite a bit cheaper, than the ones you found. http://www.amazon.com/Mikuni-TMX-Flat-Valve-Carb/dp/B000GV2D7G
ginger
i have pwk28's on my stock cylinder 4min stroker. smaller carbs help retain to bottom end, when you go to a larger carb, you will loose some bottom end and gain some top. thats why drag guys always run huge carbs. trickedcarbine
Those are junk!!! You can get used 34mm pj's in near new shape for way less. Those in the link are basically a bigger version of the stock carbs. The PJ, PWK, or mikuni TM are all far superior.
Alba Racing
Stock carbs work great. Get a tors removal kit and keep the stock carbs. You wont see much if any gains from bigger carbs unless your engine is pretty built.
