Help Question

I went to Dumont this weekend and my bike seemed to fire up when ever it wanted to. I would kick it over 20 or so times and not start. Than i would wait a min. or two and kick it again and it would fire right up! The jetting in the bike has been the same for 12 years, so it cant be the jetting. I was just wonder if it could be the cdi because i only have gone threw one cdi in all my bikes and im not sure what the symptoms could be. Thanks in advance if someone can help!

Clean the carbs thoroughly and check the wires going on the coil (orange and black)make sure you have a nice connection. Also is the tors still on?? Little black box above the left exhaust?? Maybe try disconnecting the black/white striped wire coming from the on/off switch on the handlebars, there is a connection towards the gas tank. Disconnect it and that'll disconnect the ground that the on/off switch uses to kill the motor. I've seen those switches go after about 5 or so years....

have you put new plugs in? I had a screw on top plug doing that, and I was riding once and the one side cut out. Pulled the plug cap off and the screw on tip was still attached to the plug cap. Damn thing actually stripped. Luckily I could put it on upside down and make it back to camp.
