salmon_slayer06
Anyone have experience using this stuff? I think it should be the easiest stuff to get a hold of since there is an auto-zone or O'reillys on every corner by me. I plan on using this on my case halves. If not what Yamabond or what three bond is the one I need or most used? Thank you... Edited August 8, 2013 by salmon_slayer06
salmon_slayer06
BTW... doing a 4mm build. Went through FAST and had my cylinders ported. I went with the dune/play port. I did get my cylinders back, and the workmanship can't be any better. They are a mirror image of eachother. I don't know how they do it, glad I chose them. Coolhead, domes on the way from them as well.
Coupelx
I bought a tube awhile back out of curiosity. Seems like decent stuff.
jbooker82
That is what it is designed for. Way better than using RTV or Ultra Copper / Black.
possum
Its real stringy and sticky and dries really fast. I didnt like it. I dont like 1211 either tho. I went back to grey permatex.

camatv
import grey. i have seen the "motoseal" but its 2 bucks more than import grey ( hondabond) i have ran that on every motor i have built in the last 13 years. its great stuff never a failure plus does not cost 25 bucks like that 111212112221212121 crap yamabond black and grey are both stringy and slopy crap compared to the import ( honda style ) sealer. toytech
Toyota oil pan sealer works great, but it's black so you have to clean off the excess on the outside.

salmon_slayer06
thanks for the info. Looked into all the different kinds. Honda Bond sounds like it will be easier to use and have longer set time. The permatex stuff sounds like a possibility cause its easy to get. Anyone else use the permatex ultra gray? How is it? Coupelx
In reality the list of what not to use is shorter, The red or blue shit that you used instead of gaskets on your inbred buddies chevy? Yea leave that shit in the trash. The clear shit you sealed your bath tub up with? Save it for your bathroom. Probably a few others too. I wouldnt use anything that dries hard either if you ever want to take it apart.
