James_21
Has anyone used or heard anything about using water wetter and distilled water to replace your antifreeze? I run this in my street bike and have noticed a difference, it don't get as hot as quick as if you run antifreeze. Or even run the water wetter in your antifreeze? Wanted to see if there is a noticeable difference or not. Thanks guys.
James_21
Yea that's the same stuff I run with distilled water in my bike, was thinking of trying it in the banshee but my bike doesn't over heat as it is now.

sleeper06
I run it in my crews asphalt bikes they don't like anti freeze at the track,I can't vouch for all day riding but it does the job at the track
jbooker82
I just run Engine Ice all year round. It does the same thing and offers freezing protection, where Water Wetter and Distilled water do no.
James_21
That's a really good point. Didn't think about that, only because I pull my motor every year and drain it all at the end of the season.

James_21
I have not researched that, anyone have any input on this?
Guest JohnTabata
I use distilled water and Redline WaterWetter for its cooling and corrosion protection. I'm also not in freezing conditions.
milto29
Engine Ice is the best. With a Hi Flow impeller and a bigger Radiator. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
milto29
LOL....any facts to support that claim? Yes I have tried it down here in Miami. A bigger Radiator with a better water pump with antifreeze. And my temperature was going a little high. When I switched to engine ice. My temperatures maintained a little lower then with regular antifreeze. All of this high temperatures takes place when cruising at low speeds. It made a big difference in my setup. turbowrenchhead
I did some research and ppl complained about a black sludge that water wetter left behind. But this was with a 50/50 mix of coolant and water. I think running distilled water and the water wetter would be better. They also have a diesel version of water wetter that doesn't have the silicates in it.
Colby
50/50 is wayyyy too much antifreeze,,, i usually do around 25% antifreeze, 50% distilled water, and 25% water wetter, and yes, it gets far below freezing in the winter time Edited August 14, 2013 by Colby
turbowrenchhead
I don't run my machine in the winter. I drain it at the end of the season. The cold is too hard on these bikes, not worth the risk.
