ironcowboy Posted August 5, 2013 Report Share Posted August 5, 2013 I picked up a 2002 banshee a week ago from a guy who apparently decided he wanted to getto mod the bike. By removing a bunch of parts. Like the seat latch, grab bar and tail light, ect. He also did some idiotic air filter mod with two tiny cone filters. Tryin to upload a picture but its too big. Anyway, it runs pretty good, except for when i'm going WOT for more then a bit, then it starts bogging and slowing down. If i stop for a sec it'll scream off for a while, and then promptly start loosing power, when running WOT in 5th or 6th on a long open sand road. Dont really notice it when on trails in 1st-3rd, unless doing a hill clime, and then its bad. So i figure its either not getting enough air with those gay filters, not enough fuel, or not enough spark. The entire air box system is missing so i'm going to have to do an aftermarket filter setup to replace these little shits, can someone recomend a good kit that replaces everything? As far as the air filter deal goes, i'm riding desert, and i dont trust those dinky aftermarket ones the guy had on, i dont even know what they are. Any recomendations on what to do instead?
