kevincurtis
Hey there guys was just wondering if i can get some info on if i should be mixing with race fuel, I have a 421 with 24cc domes at sea level, compression check showed 150 psi each cylinder, I'll be running 91 octane pump fuel, any info would be great ! thanks

Stonytony
Idk about 91. I have 4+ timing dune/drag port coolhead 19cc domes 140 psi and have to run 110 otherwise I get detonation because the fuel won't burn properly.

kevincurtis
personally i would try to get 93 to be safe. no need for race gas. I'm from New Brunswick so i can only get 91 premium at the pump, I'll just compensate with some octane booster. Thanks for info
oldskool
I would keep an eye on for a while. You say 150 psi on comp. Is that kicking comp on cold engine?

kevincurtis
Sucks. I have sunoco with 94 that is local. Then about a mile past that, got turbo blue at a pump. That would be nice to have at a pump, not that lucky around here unfortunately, I might go try the local drag track See if they carry
Jereme6655
yea its lucky to be able to have turbo blue just down the street here too......right up until you pull up and look at its $7.50 a gallon....
