fourjs
my son and i noticed that the needle was slightly bent, so we ordered a set from babbits, but when we went to replace them with the ones in the carb, they where shorter, stock was 53.63 mm and the ones from the banshee where 58.96 mm, (they did not have any markings/numbers on them), will it be alright to leave the needle jet and use the stock needles from babbits with out hurting the engine, we bought the quad used and not sure what needle/jet where in it, we thought they where stock but they where not, to make it run we have the clip in the first notch, but thought we had better ask before really riding it, any suggestion...thanks.... Shorter COULD be a problem if its short enough to come completely out of the needle jet. If it does , the throttle can stick wide open. As far as how short is too short ( i assume you are dealing with stock carbs?) i cant answer that because Ive never measured stockers. LCW
What carbs are on it? What's done to it.
fourjs
stock carbs are in it someone has changed the needles, im thinking they might be dynojets, by comparing them into the magazines and stuff, it does not appear to come out of the needle jet and stick wide open, i was nevous about it being to lean if it was jetting for the longer needles thanks..
