I agree, get a cool head and boost your compression, that'll help w/ the low end power your craving. If thats still not enough, then get a different set of pipes. You'll lose the high rev, but gain a lot of low end and midrange. You'll have more torque and be able to pull a higher gear to make up the top speed....Depends on your type of riding also. Whats the terrain you mostly ride on??

www.nossmachine.com He's the guy that makes the heads, not for nos. Just like a pro design cool head but the look is a lot cleaner, uses the same domes, and he's a part of this forum to boot. His ad is at the top of the page when it goes through the ads.

I do the same type of riding and perfer the midrange pipes hands down. Your call though....

The head is inexpensive compared to a new set of pipes. Let me know if you are interested and I'll help with dome selection. I noticed that your timing is advanced. That, your elevation, and the type of fuel you want to run determine what compression you can go with. Increasing the compression will definitely improve your bottom end power.

It's a pretty easy mod. You only have to remove the fuel tank and drain the coolant to remove the stock head. You clean the top of the cylinders and install the new head. Re-jetting usually isn't needed but it's wise to check it after about any mod.

You don't need to rebuild the top end or replace the pistons to install an aftermarket head. If you stay with domes that provide a 'reasonable' compression increase, there are no problems using it on an internally stock engine.
