Dino
well I just stopped by the shop and he showed me the damage. the dome and piston are all gouged and scratched up. the cylinder didn't look too bad he said he might be able to just clean it up and if not he has a spare around the shop. I am still in shock that that little shit out of that plug could do that much damage. as far as the bill is concerned yeah im paying it and like u said and he told me the labor is on the house. This time when it is done I am definitely doing a compression test. I am not 100% sure that's what happened but its top on my list. I think the timing was advanced too far and it had too much compressioin for the pump gas I ran in it. Well I learned my lesson the hard way. So one more question for you guys when this thing is done again and I do a compression test where do I need to be at to run pump gas because I have no need to run race gas..I just wanted to point out to you guys also that the person who built this quad for me is not a site sponsor here just a small shop by my house that was convenient. And I don't know much about quads this is the first quad I ever owned. I got all my ideas from this site to build my 4 mil and I want to thank you guys for that. Nieskes
You need to figure out your compression ratio, the whole kick your motor over to determine is a joke. Give this a read http://www.sacoriver.net/~red/uccr.html Or you can guess and use this guys chart http://www.nossmachine.com/banshee_heads.htm
