fixitrod
I'd say start with 240's and go from there. Use benbb's jet faq to help you out. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/jetfaq.html
slowpokebanshee
has anyone ran this setup before? because of our new noise restraints and spark arresteer issues, I might keep this set up for a while...or am I spinning my wheels by not opening up the exhaust? fixitrod
Stock pipes do restrict, but in certain areas of the rpm range. I have heard of people porting a motor out, using stock pipes and smoking others with just pipes. If you already have the filters by all means use them. If you have the stock airbox on there now, you will notice a difference for sure. Not everybody has the money to put on pipes and all the goodies. I'm glad to see you sticking to the rules in your area also. That's the attitude that will keep our sport alive. You will hear a lot of intake noise with the air filters, but nothing like pipes. I'd go for it.
slowpokebanshee
how about pilot jets? or needle position...air screws? anyone? also I am now running redline 50:
sredish
leave yor pilots and needles alone, and your air screw is just an idle adjustment. if your concerned about it, just twist in and out until you find the spot it idles best and has best response. because of our new noise restraints and spark arresteer issues what are the noise restraints, surely like 98 or something.
