bigtreads
which intake system is better and why (graydon/Trinity). from just looking at the 2 manifolds the graydon seems to make more sence flow wise but ??? . If the Graydon version is OK has anyone ever tried making their own - it dosn't look to be to complicated. Lastly for a motor with every bolt on available will the 35mil carb be to big ??? thanks guys Norm
evil
imo, the trinity manifold is 1. way better looking than the greydon 2. the way the system mounts up on the trinity is alot cleaner 3. it looks better !!!even though the flow pattern looks more feesable on the greydon its the same as the trinity just put togather more cleanly. i have access to a greydon manifold that i will do a comparison with the two and give results in the review section, when i get time ! as far as making my own i thought about it, thought hard. its not a hard piece to make if you have the tools i just dont have the time. as far as the carb, i ran the 35 on a non ported motor with all the bolt ons and it did allright but it felt better with the 33, it was easier to dial the jetting in. after i had it ported i went back to the 35 and it was what it needed. hope i helped you out norm. ill try to find the time to do some testing. i only rode one other shee with the greydon manifold and wasnt like awww man thats sweet. but it wasnt mine so time will tell. later
bigtreads
right on that's the kind of info I was looking for. Im looking to make the switch this winter when I rebuild so I want to keep an eye on ebay etc. and don't want to buy junk/wrong set up. Thanks Norm anyone else can feel free to add their 2 cents
richwuest
I cannot speak for the Graydon, never used one. But I do love the Trinity. Liked it so well that I put one on both mine and my wifes bikes. Both are the olderPJ34s on ported motors, and they run great. One of the best mods you can do.
