tdod101
Looks like the ball bearings in my front hub grenaded. Is it hard to replace ? Just figure a socket and a hammer to get then out and vice to put the new in ?
special06shee
Need to take a punch, slide the spacer (or whatever the proper name is) to one side and beat the bearings out. I just use a socket and beat them in carefully.
sheerider11
Yeah have to do from each side, the hub is tapered
Starwriter
Don't forget to put the spacer in when you install the new bearings and seals. When the new bearings are properly in place, the spacer should be snug against the bearings. If the spacer flops around in there, the bearings aren't seated all the way and will go bad in a very short time, if you just crank down the nut and ride it. tdod101
Okay thanks guys, it's really just the one bearing on the outside of the hub (facing away from bike) I took the seal off on the inside and the other one looks fine. Replace both anyways ? Or can I get away with just putting in the one ?

Deadbeat
if one side has been fucked out for a while, the other is on its way out, at least do both on the same hub
