ride4life10
i'm in the market for a sport quad and was considering a banshee, but my big concern is engine life. i've heard of banshee top ends lasting years and heard of them only lasting months, whats the truth to that? and what is there to do for maintenance? Finch
All depends on how you take care of it.
sheerider11
True. I had a season on my top end last run. Probably about 3 months. I was stupid and had a bad setup. My buddy has had the same top end for 3 years. If your not a complete idiot, you'll probably be fine. Can't rule out unforeseen circumstances. But more the likely, as just a play bike with basic maintenance you'll be fine.
coryv4
same with any motor really. keep good plugs in it change the oil frequently fresh gas only decent mixing oil not that cheap ass tcw or Valvoline. clean your filters after riding in mud rejet for temperature and the motor could last tens year or 10 minutes all depends on the owner. ride4life10
with good plugs, clean filter, good oil/gas can you expect years or reliable use then, or is it still unpredictable

ric-ross1
Just like everything, if you take care of the bike it should last you. Maybe even a 4 stroke like blender said.

possum
my motors ARE predictable. And on my motors I just put gas in and go for years and years. Its all in the setup.
tdod101
My buddy had a scrambler, it was pretty sweet. No shifting required, automatic belt drive
trickedcarbine
Take care of it properly, and learn to tune properly if you start with the go fast goodies. Otherwise, the only problem is how addicting these things get. There really is just to many parts available for banshees. There isn't one nut or bolt that isn't replaceable with something cooler.
