Free yellow banshee
My banshee has the following mods.... Dune/play port Fresh bore/hone T5 pipes 4 force 4's Cfm airbox with k&n's Boss intake Dynatek Cdi Stock carbs Passed the leak test The carbs have been cleaned in my sonic cleaner and the choke tube is installed. I have 310 mains, 27.5 pilots, air screws at 2.5 turns out and stock needles in 3rd slot. I got it fired up and was trying to dial the pilot jet in. It sounds pretty good and revs clean with no noticeable flat spots. The thing that concerns me is I can turn the air screw all the way in and it make no change in the idle. I can also open them all the way up and no change. After all the reading I've done I figured I would be at 27.5. I don't have any 30's right now, but looks like I'll be ordering them. The main will be easy cause I'll plug chop it and I'll be able to feel the needle. I know how to jet these carbs, but I've never seen one where the air screw makes no difference. And yes I gave the motor time to catch up to the adjusted mixture. Thanks

badassbanshee479
Sounds like the slides are to high causing the motor to run on the needle rather than the pilot circuit
Free yellow banshee
Good point. I will check that. The idle screws work fine though. And the idle is set.
Free yellow banshee
Any other suggestions? Should I order some 30 pilots?
WINDYCITYJOHN400
Yes. The V4's like one size larger pilot than normal. So I would start with a 30.
Free yellow banshee
Sounds good man. Thanks. I have 32.5 pilots now. I'll try them first. If it's to rich I'll order 30's.
