CAJUN BANSHEE
Are the powerjets threaded in or is the epoxy the only thing holding them in? If they thread in i wouldnt worry as much about alky compatablity. Im gonna try lock tight 5min epoxy on my next set. comes with mixing nozzle all you do is squeeze it out and apply. i have used plastic weld before on the bowl barbs with no problems. you should sent those abortions to dennis like we told you last time when you had the wrong needle and seats. btw, want to sell those 3.5? send me a pm if you do They're the press in. And I should have sent them to Dennis but it was to late by the time you told me to. Kevin already had them, Sent you a pm.

m671054
Check to see if the barb is drilled out. That barb stk is .090, packard rec .102 minimum. also the dump tube he rec .128. also check your bowl barbs
n2otoofast4u
JB Quick will not hold up to alky. Not sure wtf is in it but it will eat it up quick. Standard JB on the other hand will work fine.
CAJUN BANSHEE
Thanks for the guidance fellas and of course I ran into another issue. The new pj are too fat to fit in the existing hole. Should I shave the side of the pj to fit or relocate it farther down and plug the old hole? I have a buddy with a machine shop so it will be drilled correctly. n2otoofast4u
Why are you adding another?
n2otoofast4u
Also, if you want to use 2 it appears there is lots of material around the new pj that could be removed to give enough clearance to slide it down but it also looks like the tubes might touch. camatv
those look nice! BUT will the needle section unscrew completely? if yes i have seen that style ( and the needle conversion stock style lectron in the pic) just fall the F out!. it looks to me that they are designed to replace the OEM casting PJ section... not sure why but ? other than that looks like nearly the same as whats in there now but made from brass? or aluminum anodized gold? packard deff made the lectron a viable alky carb and then pushed them into what i would consider the only choice for an alky drag bike. i can take ANY lectron and install it, tune it, and have it ready to ride in 30 minutes or less.... i can also convert my alky's to gas in about the same time. and back again if your not running pe-1 needles your probably going to have a problem supplying enough fuel on the top .. those needles are key in my opinion to making them work well

I am just trying to replace what was broke but then lectron sent me this other pj and threw a wrench in my fan. The other pj was a fixed jet and I'm not sure why he sent me this adjustable to replace it. I'll call Packard to see what he rec. But if yall have ideas feel free to share.
