Stevesuender
Hey guys sorry for the stupid title but its basically my problem. I recently installed new OEM carbs cause i broke my carb syncs on my switches, and when i installed the new OEM carbs i found that the powerband wouldnt pick up after a few rips through the gears. I noticed it barely making it up a decent hill in 2nd full throttle, then when i got to the top she was barely picking up, powerband was basically nonexistent. took her home decided to throw in the new carbon reeds awhile because i thought maybe it needed that and i figured it might have been letting fuel in the wrong way, soaking my left air filter. but that didnt solve the problem, now when i hit full throttle she goes flat, no power, literally dies out, in any gear. The guy i bought my carbs from told me might be because he had his carbs jetted for his ported cylinder bike with pipes and 850ft elevation. this is all kind of chinese to me. any thoughts? thanks in advance for any help!! much appreciated

Larry's Shee
Well, don't feel bad, some of what you've posted is Greek to me. What switches you talking about? TORS? If so, those have nothing to do with sync. The brick yes. Should have dumped the tors anyhow. Swap all jets as mentioned. Make sure slide cutaway faces air box, they can go in wrong carb. Be sure float bowl with "BB" on front is on choke carb.
JasonsBanshee
Hey Steve, (I sold you the carbs) I didn't even think about it, you are running TORS! Unplug it and see if that fixes your problem. Look for the plug up in front/above the head. It plugs into a box on the frame. My carbs are TORS carbs so I'm almost certain you still have TORS. You could also search TORS removal and even buy the kit to remove the TORS from the carbs. It also cleans everything up. Jason
