Justintoxicated
Skate II's I think are the best all around paddle tire for glamis. Unless your just going to drag or care more about that aspect, then it's skat tracks all the way.
THX-1138
the Sand Star is just like the Gecko but lighter and has a taller paddle. what I an interisted in is the differince in the 10 inch or the 8 inch rim. I have the Skate II on my 250r in a 10 inch rim. and the sand sharks on 10 inch for the Banshee. but they are worn and both rims are bent so I am getting a new set. if I go with the 8 inch rim on the new set will I notice any differince ? what should I get ? hubmonkey
The Sand Star's Are the same type of design as the Sand Skate2's except they have 8 mini paddles on the inside for added traction. They are 1/8" taller paddle than Sand Skate2's. To answer your question... Get the 10" rims. They look better and the paddle is a little bit more rigid. I have a review of them on my website. Hub Interesting, what about weight? I always like sand tires unlimited because their tires are usualy much lighter than other brands with the same design. hubmonkey
The ITP's are just as light ans the Sand Skate2's. I do not have access to a digital scale to get the exact weight of the two. Both the Sand Skate2's and ITP Sand Stars are way lighter than the GBC Sand Sharks on the same rim. Hub
