Banshee noob here.

Recommended Posts

Hello Banshee HQ,  I just picked up my first Banshee (and my first two stroke) last night.  I've owned quads most of my life since the age of 4 and have always wanted a Banshee but ended up with something else.  This one appears to have been really well taken care of and the previous owner provided me with all the receipts for the parts and labor for the mods done to the bike.

BRAND NEW piston/rings
Billet water pump impeller
Newer Toomey clutch plates
Billet parking block off kit
Hot Rod 4mm long rod stroker crank
+4 adjustable timing plate
shaved stock head to accept the stroker crank
Hinson billet clutch basket
K&N pod air filters
Outerwears to cover K&N filters
Chrome CPI inframe drag pipes
jetted accordingly (extra jets included)
billet exhaust hangers/chrome bolts
black powdercoated frame/a-arms/swingarm
ALL bearings replaced at the time of powdercoating
newer front sprocket
V-Force 3 reeds/reed cages
YAMAHA black shock covers

Only problem I've found with it is that I have to hold the choke out,  it won't stay on it's own.  Any known fix for that?   Also,  Does anyone know what CC the bike is now with the 4 mil crank and a .30 over bore?

Can't wait to get this thing out and do some riding.

yeah just put one in mine, about 10 rides later it backed out. I hope that I noticed it soon enough and didn't lean out and damage anything.  One of those things you don't want to tighten and strip the brass or the carb, but sure don't want it falling out either.

Yeah,  that would cause some major issues, Maybe a touch of blue locktite would be a good idea.

It has to be a wet clutch 10-30 if it is motor oil, correct?

Basically just need something I can pick up at autozone,  It's a long way to any of the bike shops from here and they are closed on Sundays,  basically they are closed any time I'm not at work.
