Young Guns Racing
Check all ur basics first. Make sure gas is flowing into ur carbs. Check spark and check compression. If all is well and u want to see of ur carbs are flowing a little shot of carb cleaner or squirt of gas either in a plug hole or through the throat of the carbs and an attempt to start will let u know if you should look into ur carbs again. Let us know ur results.
joewest
No spark. I pulled a plug and kicked it and there's not any spark. What could it be?
sheerider11
No spark. I pulled a plug and kicked it and there's not any spark. What could it be?I'm not being a dick, but FFS! Are you joking? What are you gonna do out in the trail/dune when your bike shuts off?? Pull out your phone and hope for enough reception and post a thread and ask what happened? Use your head! What have you checked so far? Are all the plugs connected? Is that push button good? Did you break a wire? Did you run a continuity test across the harness to see if there's a short/break you can't see? Did you check the coil, stator, plug caps? What did you do already to check? Not " my shit box broke, what happened?"

Not " my shit box broke, what happened?" Nope working on it as we speak. The plugs are connected. The kill switch was working fine its only a couple months old. How do I run a continuity test? Sorry I'm just asking for feedback while I work on it dude.
sheerider11
Get a clymers. Well first place I would be checking is around the air box and those plugs there. You replaced reeds so you were back there moving shit around. Dd you unplug the stator at all? How did the reeds break? When my reeds broke a bad backfire took them out from the harness melting to the exhaust.
joewest
Fuck I'm being a dumbass this morning. It has spark I had the damn key off. I broke the reeds when I was off riding last weekend. It just started acting like it was running out of gas then just died and wouldn't even try to start.

James_21
So its got spark, are your carbs clean? Your gas turned on?
joewest
Yes the gas is on. I cleaned the carbs not to long ago. Im gonna try to put a little gas in the cylinder and see if it trys to crank
sheerider11
Is the thing so flooded from you kicking that the bottom end is just puddled with gas? Give it a real quick shot of starting fluid. See if it'll at least begin to crank.
