trickedcarbine Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 http://www.incipio.com/collections/alpinestars/alpinestars-iphone-4-4s-cases/iphone-4-4s-alpinestars-bionic-a-o-o-e-e-o-silicrylic-a-cu-e-hard-shell-case-with-silicone-core.html Junk! Flimsy rubber peels back almost any time you handle it or pull it oh of a pocket. The hard backing shell is nearly like putting your phone on Astro Glide. Sucks to grip and it slides off every thing. Mine is still in tact, but my buddies has fell and it cracked. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted June 6, 2013 Author Report Posted June 6, 2013 Had one and it let dirt in at the ear piece. Ultimately scratched the screen. I have been rocking the LifeProof case and it is titties. But I have had this Alpine Star case for a while in the package and decided since the Life Proof was due for a replacement I would try this thing out. It sucked and the Life Proof is going back on. I'm about to upgrade the phone to a Galaxy S4 or HTC One as soon as they make a Ballistic HC case for them. Quote
sheerider11 Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 I know a few people with the life proof and I see it as inconvenient. You need a special jack to use head phones, need to open the case to hear the speaker, if I'm talking to them and they leave the charger cover closed it sounds like they are a mile away from the phone. Bad one ton Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 I'm rough on my phones, and since i've been buying smart phones i've been buying cases for them. I buy the otter box defender. Once in a while i have to disassemble and clean all the dust and shit out but they do help keep the phone in decent shape. JMO. TON! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
dave5.0 Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 I've got an otterbox defender on my work phone and its pretty decent. Does have to come alart to clean once in a while. Phone always look like new. Personal phone is the next step down. Like $40. Forget what it's called. It's a two piece rubber and plastic deal with the sticky screen protector. That one is a pos. The rubber stuff is peeling all over the place. I won't get another one. It keeps me from dropping the phone twice a day like I did without a cover though. Quote
wacko2000 Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 Hybrid or life proof IMO are the only cases to buy for the IPhones I've has them all More people mis informed, the jack plug Comes with the phone and the case does NOT need to be taken off to hear anything!! Life proof case is the shit, a bit expensive but worth it Phone is sealed tight, keeps all the shit out I do construction, keep my phone in my side pocket most of the time and it takes a pounding, never had a problem with the life proof case!! Cutting grinding welding saw dust fire proofing, you name it and I'm around it I have also dropped it in a puddle running for the bus like a jackass, any other case and I would have been heading to apple for a new phone Joe Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 I work outside in the weather around concrete, mud and dirt and have a simple semi-flexible case. No crazy huge otter box or fuck proof bullshit. If I can get by with no issues doing what I do, there's no reason on this planet to bulk up your phone to the point you need a suitcase or fanny pack to carry it around. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted June 6, 2013 Author Report Posted June 6, 2013 But fanny packs are so back in! Quote
Bad one ton Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 My phone with the defender case fits in the side pocket of my carhart jeans just fine. Its not that much bigger then the phone itself. TON! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
wacko2000 Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 Otter box blows, hybrid and life proof are real sleek- phone still fits in the side pocket or my carhartt jeans as well Quote
4psnu Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 No case FTW. Hahaha right!! We are adults now! Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 14, 2013 Report Posted June 14, 2013 Maybe the Otter Box is just an overhyped, overpriced piece of shit? All I'm saying is I'm outside with rain, snow, dirt, mud, concrete and saw dust, and I don't seem to have an issue. Then again, I'm not a total dipshit with it either. Quote
rubberneck Posted June 14, 2013 Report Posted June 14, 2013 All I'm saying is I'm outside with rain, snow, dirt, mud, concrete and saw dust, and I don't seem to have an issue. Your phone has never met DDQ Quote
