locogato11283
Is 98/47 good enough for a 4mm Serval with Snipers?
So Cal Suspension
Is 98/47 good enough for a 4mm Serval with Snipers? I suppose... but aren't stock stroke stock cylinders making those kind of numbers?

dave5.0
Is 98/47 good enough for a 4mm Serval with Snipers? I was thinkin it was pretty decent. Especially since it started out as a serval. On alky or gas?
joey83
How much timing was in it on that pull?
locogato11283
I suppose... but aren't stock stroke stock cylinders making those kind of numbers? I would imagine any stock stroke motor making those kind of numbers would be pretty high strung. Robert said the curve looked good on it. When I was at Redline, we dynoed that 4mm Serval that Cam ported and it made 85 on pump gas with CPI. I would imagine that alky would put it up there in comparison with this motor. That's kind of what I'm basing the results on at this point as I don't really have much to go off of with these motors. I was thinkin it was pretty decent. Especially since it started out as a serval. On alky or gas? This motor is on alky.

This motor is on alky. Oh, I guess I didn't realize you were talking about a specific motor in particular. I know of a stock cylinder 350 that is in the 95hp range, and I believe it's on it's 3rd season. Only time will tell, I guess, but I would think that a drag ported 421 serval on alky should be above those numbers. The low torque is strange for a serval, isn't it? I don't know a whole lot about motors in general, it just didn't strike me as anything impressive. Who owns the motor you're talking about? dave5.0
Gotcha. I do remember seeing smthn about power jets. This turd of mine is supposed to be in that area with lil more torque and hp on gas. But it's never been on a dyno. I'm a tad skeptical it'll happen. But I guess we'll see.

The 98/47 is maggetshee's 4mm Serval built by Passion with Snipers on it. I would imagine the lower torque number has to do with the raised port heights? Any idea what kind of torque that 350 made? The 85hp 4mm Serval is one of Cam's customers.

Not sure on the torque, but I can find out. I would imagine that cam left that serval with lower port heights to keep it... well... as a serval.
