375hp banshees
new top end...the rt side doesn't sound as good as the left & doesn't heat up nearly the same. just did another leak down test GOOD ... I've ran 2 comp. checks (160), ran w/ rt. plug . out & sparks good (& ran fine on just the rt cyl.; you could tell it was on 1 cyl, but...)& showed a good pattern w/ a timing light also.( won't start or run w/ L. plug off) I've swapped: carbs, plugs, wires, double checked flywheel gap & reeds what else is there to check? it seems to run ok (rt. side is not COMPLETELY dead)you can just tell the rt. isn't crisp and/or licking every stroke & the temp difference. I forgot to bring my temp gun home but the left gets hot pretty quick & rt. takes a long time??? what am I missing i'm at a loss banghead
n2otoofast4u
Do you have the crossover tube in?
375hp banshees
yes (choke tube?) & plugged them off when swapped them, (or boost cross over?) it will start right up 1st kick even w/ rt plug wire off not w/ L. off though Edited June 1, 2013 by 375hp banshees

375hp banshees
yes both have good spark & swapped everything just in case & still the rt',s weak see edit ^^^^^^^^^^
n2otoofast4u
Put the carbs back like they are supposed to be. Be sure the bowls are on correct side. With both plugs hooked up and air box removed start the bike and pull the cable out of the carb on the side that you are having trouble with (basically just reving up that cyld) and see if it pics it up. If that does nothing, give it a shot of starting fluid in just that cyld and see if it picks it up. Its very possible that its so loaded up now that its going to take some heat to get it to clean out.
375hp banshees
i'll try that... i've rode it & cleaned it out pretty good.. it's firing some on the rt. side it's just not right. I never had both carbs apart at the same time but just incase how do u tell if the bowls are swapped ...also how do people get the slides swapped if you line up the idol taper & the alignment slot hows that possible & wouldn't (in both situations) both sides be weak?? ... 45 min's later, still holding on the leak down so it's pretty tight. i hope it's something stupid I don't care, just want to narrow it down!! I pulled the L. plug wire off again & tried to keep it running on just the rt. & even at wot it would barely stay running. I made sure the pipes weren't plugged while i had them off to do a leak down. you can feel the L. exhaust pretty strongly 6+" out the back, the rt barley at the tip & doesn't pop as crisply & as much (often) next Left one has the BB they r in correctly how do you get the slides backwards (& what r the symptoms?) maybe if removed from the cables but you can't other wise can u?
