Bigdram
I have a leaky gasket which is leaking a fair bit of oil, it looks to me like it is the gasket where the clutch goes into the transmission, what is this gasket called and is it hard to replace? Thanks
sheerider11
Clutch cover gasket. And get a manual. If you have to ask how to do this you might be in over your head with this bike. 1. Drain coolant (easiest to remove water pump cover slightly. That behind the black plastic cover on the front on the clutch cover. Remove those 3 bolts and you'll see a metal cover with 4 or 5 Phillips screws. Get a #3 Phillips and break each one free and let coolant drain. Remove cap on rad to speed up process) 2. Drain trans fluid/oil. 17mm bolt under bike. 3.remove kick starter. one bolt holding it on 4. Remove brake pedal. Pull off clip, slide off shaft. Also remove brake master. 2 Allen bolts hold that in place 5. Remove 1 footpeg bolt loosen other one. Flip that around remove bolts around cover. 1 bolt is longer then the rest, that one goes top left. 6. Reverse 1-5 for install obviously with new gasket in place
