what size domes should i use

Recommended Posts

im in middle of a rebuild on the ol'shee and need your guys' opinions. i have had my jugs bored .60 over and slapped a 4mill 115mm long rod stroker crank in it and was wondering what size domes i should use.

details you guys probably need...

- 01 banshee

- live in vestal NY

-want to use 93 octane pump gas if i can (that high octane sh!t gets too expensive)

-vito's 4mill 115 long rod crank balanced trued and welded

-wiesco pistons forgot what size but fits the .60 over bore

-cool head

i cant think of any more details you guys might need but if i left something out, just reply and thanks for your input ohh and right now i have 21cc domes

With the 4mm long rod crank I have 19cc 4mil cut domes and run pump fuel with the timing at +7... The domes need to be cut 2mm deep than a normal dome... because the pistons come 2mm up out of the bores....

There may be some confusion with the dome language. Yes you need domes that are for the +4 crank. Yes they have 2mm more cut out of them to clearance the crank.  There are cookie cutter domes (just standard 19, 20, 21, etc...domes for +4mil carnks) and then there are custom cut domes which site sponsors can setup specifically to your motors needs to create the most power.  Yes they are still interchangeable.  Call one of our site sponsors and let em know what you have and talk to em and they will set you up with what works....
