zilladude
2-strokes, nothing beats the smell of 110 & castor in the morning.
Gargamel
2 strokers rock, when they ban them is the only time I'll switch. and all i RIDE IS TRAILS. I love it when that polaris or honda is struggling to keep up in the twisties with me and I can say " thats why I bought a banshee " shuts them up every time

shee400
2 stroke because there is nothing better than climbing a steep hill and having the powerband hit right in the middle of it to take you over the top.
boonman
2 strokes get a pretty bad rap in my opinon as far as longevity. But think of how hard they get pushed, it amazing! If you could turn these rpm's with a four stroke it wouldn't last any longer. Just look at outboard boat motors, they run on the conservative side and last 20+ years pushing a pontoon! I'll agree that four stroke power is getting better, but I'll likely be too old to care by the time they achieve 2 stroke fun! They both have their niche. This is the first I've read this entire thread.... Anyways, I beg to differ on the RPM thing. What about any Sport bike made in the last 10-15 years turns a higher red line than your banshee ever thought of stock for stock. And Ive spun an R-6 to 15K.... Go hop on a sled. About 8500 or so is par on max RPM..... My take is that there is a purpose for everything. 4 stroke's will put the power to the ground a little better than a 2 stroke will. But, once the two stroke hooks up, it's anybody's ball game. The new 4 strokers (450's) are NOT to be fucked with unless you got some mods on your bike..... And not just pipes...... My vote goes to a 2 stroker though.....
Westro
2 stroke, that's all I own. My 50 year old father rides a 400ex, that is exactly what a 4 stroke is; an OLD man's machine!
