Jpan350
I just traded for a banshee so I'm new, but the night I traded it started and ran perfect. The next day I go to start it and the right sides smokes and the left doesn't and the powerbands will not kick in plus when you shift into fifth and sixth gears it stops pulling. joey83
Need new power bands man!X2But before you just jump in and spend $45+ ea on a powerband, check the tension on yours.
joey83
But maybe back up even more. If it's only running on one cylinder try a set of plugs. see if both sides have spark. Maybe check compression on each cylinder. Do something. Fuel, fire, compression, and in the right timed sequence will make her run. Start checking stuff and eliminate possible problems and get more info.

joey83
Stock head or cool head? Lay a flat edge across it and make sure head is nice and level so youre not doing another head gskt in 3 hours. Get a torque wrench and get a manual on it. I cant remember what I have. Is it Clymers that has best manual?
bansheegoon
Start at 17ft lbs then 20ft LbS In The numbers sequence on the head. I take my cool head to 22ft lbs and use a picture of a stock head on Google search as my reference. Power bands are behind the radiator I think and you can check tension with your fingers ;P just play in power bands are set up by different porting and pipes
