Durring Sandy all my neighrbors ran out of gas running thei big ass 5500 watt generators and mine was all good. It used about a gallon of gas per 8 hours. It is easier if 1 of them is the companion then all you need are simple patch cords. However there are several kits available that allow you to hook up 2 or even 3 of the eu2000i together. I boought 2 of the eu2000i many years ago before the companion model was available and i have a parallel kit that works great. I boought 2 of the eu2000i many years ago before the companion model was available and i have a parallel kit that works great. Great little units, build yourself and extended run tank and you can run all week and never fill up. We have a friend in our group who ran a 3/8" fuel line from their toy hauler fuel tank and plumbed it straight into a quick disconnect. He has a splitter on the main fuel line. He can either run it off the tank, or the incoming line from the hauler. He runs it all night to charge his batteries for the following day. Works great. rubberneck Posted May 20, 2013 Report Share Posted May 20, 2013 for those of you who dont have a built in tank (like me) you can just grab a boat tank from walmart and use it. I have it set up with quick connects as well and can run either 1 or both of my generators off of it. Its well worth the effort to set up.
