atcandbanshees
I tried snd still wasn't enough
dajogejr
Just buy a cheap set from harbor freight. If you made your living as a machinist/fabrcator...I'd say buy a nice set. But then again, if you either of those, you wouldn't be asking that question...LOL. You'll need .110 to .124. Your main might be .116, but what is the dump tube? And what kind of needle...and what clip is it on? You say tuning it in with the PJ still wasn't enough...does that mean you closed the PJ all the way and it was still fat? atcandbanshees
Ya I closed it all the way. It would launch but then just fall on its face after. My needle was set in middle postion and my dump tube was also .116 that's what was scribbed in thw side atleast
dajogejr
I'm going out on a limb...but I think you may have other problems. Ignition comes to mind.
atcandbanshees
I kinda thought the same. But what do you think it could be. It will rev up and clean out but there is raw alky coming out the pipes. Ill dump the clutch in second then it just falls flat on its face then try to get going again but its off and on
dajogejr
Where did the complete ignition system come from before this? Is this all KNOWN working parts...or pieced together from sales, ebay, etc.? Is it a Ricky Stator, aftermarket coil, shaved flywheel, etc? atcandbanshees
Came off my 96 and no fly wheels not cut but the stator had some soldiering done
dajogejr
And that's why I asked if it was Ricky Stator... Get a known working good stator. Then open those PJs all the way up... You're gapping the plugs down to .018 or so, right?
atcandbanshees
Ill check to see if its a ricky stator and ya I gapped the plugs to.018 what plugs do you recommend
dajogejr
BR8ES...standard always works fine. While you're at it...once you remove the flywheel, shake it and listen for broken magnets. If they're bad, you'll hear them shaking around inside like a maracca.
atcandbanshees
Alright. Should I try to find a stock stator or get a racetech
