BeeCanBanshee
i always give a higher jetting then what peeps usually end up with... its a SAFE recommendation that way if someone goes and tries it they dont melt down the bike... its always safe and easy to start rich and work your way down. too many variations come into play to give a "exact" number....290's may work for some but lean for others etc... I gottcha it makes sense. I had 300 in mine and was rich I'm going to put the 290's in and chop it
BeeCanBanshee
My plugs come out black but on a side note a friend of mine who is familiar with 2strokes was riding behind me and said I might be rich when I had 300's in. But I also think my carbs were crappy. I did get anither set of carbs in better condition so I think I will try the 300's again and go from there. By the way my elev. Is 88ft. But we were riding at the hatfield McCoy trials in WV mountains when my buddy said it was rich so it could have just been elevation.

BeeCanBanshee
Yea I just put on the airbox I was running pods. And port work that's the best I can say about it. I rebuilt my bike this winter and my old cyl. Were shot so I picked up the set I run now and the guy I got them from didn't know who ported them. I have a thread on here somewhere with pics. And the ele. Change I only ride at different ones maybe 2 times a year. So I can't justify a smart carb. Haha there sweet though.
