tdod101
Vforce 4 reeds, toomey t5 pipes and silencers, dual k&n air filter pods 1000'ft elevation. Currently have 300 main jet, 27.5 pilot, needle 3rd clip, air screw at 1 1/2 turns out. Doesn't seen to be perfect yet, should I go bigger main or bigger pilot ? Or both ? Increase air screw ? What do you guys suggest ?

tdod101
Well the plugs look okay ish, kinda gray, hard to start, kick it 10x's with full choke than it goes, doesn't really idle to well either, or at all, I've cleaned carbs a few times, just kind of experimenting with jetting, not to see what to do about the needle though... 06BCBANSHEE
are your carbs synced? idle might be a bit low?
Mad_banshee_racer
Start out with a compression test. Post your readings.
tdod101
Stock bore and new top end: 135 psi both cylinders, leak test passed as well
tdod101
I emailed Alba racing and this is what the said: Hello, we do not have a set jetting for the banshee. However, you are pretty close, with the elevation you are at, I would leave the main jet alone, if anything, you can come down to a 290 main, the pilot jet, bring that down to a 25 pilot and the needle, set it at the 4th clip, and the air fuel mixture screw is fine at 1 1/
Mad_banshee_racer
I used to run a 260 with my air box lid on. Then I removed the lid and jumped to a 300. I have since had work done by here jugs racing and run a 330. The only time mine was hard to crank was when I was running albas needle. I went back with stock needle 3rd clip and bam first kick starts. Make sure you don't have your carb bowls mixed up. One has a little jet in the bottom, that's for the choke carb. Also make sure you don't have a air coming in around your carb boots. A leak down test can't find this because your carbs are off. The last thing I can think of is a weak stator. Larry's Shee
Tors delete with idle screws? Try setting idle a little higher with screws or cable. X2 on sync. Could try air screw 1/8 turn or less at a time. I actually adjusted mine 1/8 or less to cure a little hesitation at 1/4 - 1/2 throttle. Tho still hard to start if its been sitting, thinking of trying 30p
