ginger
i would rock +4 timing, and maybe some reeds till it needs a rebuild, then atleast a head and port work, if not a +4 crank.

SheeRidr
x2 on timing plate set at +4 degrees I seen a video on that it was a "do it yourself" tho. Better off just buying it new? or what do you think??
oldskool
Nothing wrong with modding your stock plate. The aftermarket plate($45.00) makes it easy, easy to set timing. The degrees are marked on plate +10 to -10. Just set desired timing to where engine cases come together, tighten bolts with a little loctite, done
sheerider11
I think with a stock modded, you can only get like 3-4 degrees but enough to notice.

oldskool
Not if you stay with +4 or less, Don't use the logic that if +4 is good, then +8 must be better.
