Take an S.O.S. pad and rub it on there hard w/ some aluminum polish (just like you would everything else). Then wipe it in, then repeat the process w/ just a regualar cloth. Bluing is a sign of leaness though.

go to the local shop and get some blue away, harley shops usually have it. later

I thought pretty much all pipes turn blue, even with correct jetting.

mabey a little discoloration from heat but blue and gold are bad signs, my sst's havent changed colors at all. later

when the motors to lean it will change colors, and yes a bigger jet will fatten it up

I don't know if this means anything...I've seen pipes nearly black at the header. Some seem to be yellow, and I have one buddy, that got his pipes chromed after he ran them for 3 years, and they are perfect. I don't know why. We ride like crazy, and his pipes look show room. He'll barely clean his air filter, so I seriously doubt he's wiped his pipes down with anything. <_<
