bansheegoon
Could you set up, through porting and different pipes or whatever, one side to be bottom to mid and the other to be mid to high end power band? Best of both worlds on a twin motor? Or would the thing put bad froces on the crank or other problems.
bansheegoon
Maybe a cheetah cub on one side and a serval on the other? As long as those aren't mono block cylinders
bansheegoon
Lol why wouldn't it work? Not saying I'm gonna do this just trying to figure out if possible or why not
bansheegoon
Don't know a whole lot about motor modifications but I just had a thought maybe each side could be set up differently for a wider range of power

LowlyOilBurner
I regret to inform you, but I'm afraid your idea will not work.
bansheegoon
I figured most likely not since I've never seen it done even on the forums here. I know the brains here would be able to confirm or deny. Seems like it technically should work though. Just different porting and pipes for instance. 2strokes4u
Once that works, have one side stroked longer than the other, then it can limp its way along..lol
bansheegoon
Ya I have a 87a lt250r but I think it would be different. More like twin turbo with offset sizes for quick spool and higher p.s.I. some Beverly hill billy shit right there but if it could be done and have some benefits then why not? I under stand the popes coming on at different times prob wouldn't do shit for power out put but I thought y'all might enjoy the thought of one wild idea :]

J-Madd
It would bring out the worst of both cylinders. There may be a small range of Rpms where they work together.
bansheefromhell
it would be hard on the bottom end just like running a different head on one side of a v8 with more compression, it would be as if the crank was out of balance. I don't even know why I wasted my time telling you that...
WINDYCITYJOHN400
In thoery...you can lift one foot off the ground, reach down at your side, grab that foot and hold it up. Following that theory, if you simply do that same thing with the other side of your body.....you'll be floating in thin air. That's the thing about a theory....it can sound great untill testing begins. Now as long as we're smoking pot and dreaming up wacky ideas....why not dream one of those cylinders was a Raptor 700 cylinder?
