mcaf29
This is not time critical which is why I've posted it here rather than clog up your e-mail system (I know you're super busy). O.K. here's the problem. I'm somehow burning oil from my tranny, I rebuilt my lower end this winter and think I may have spared the Yamabond. I not really sure If its what I did or maybe I bought some bad seals. Well, either way I need to go back into my bottom end, I'm in school til dec 18th so it won't happen till then I'll just have to suck it up that it smokes a little bit and keep a close eye on oil level. So, I figure if I'm gonna go back into my bottom end I should do what I regret not doing before which is a LR +4mm stroker. My wife has told me she'll go half as a christmas present since they are quite expensive($600). My real dilemma is I don't have the cash to get the porting right now and I want to use my current pistons, 30 over prolites, since they are brand new. So can I use spacers for the fact that its +4 and another spacer to compenstae for the LR(instead of blaster pistons or 795s)? I'm running a cool head so are there domes I could get instead of a head spacer? Next summer i will being heading to P-cola Florida for Navy flight school and I'll have A) more money, active duty and I'll be so busy I won't miss the few weeks to send my cylinders to you for porting. So the eventual plan is to have you port my cylinders next summer for the stroker and an MX port (we'll talk about this later if you can do it) and I want to run the Vito's power pistons(if you think I should run the 795's I'll probably do it then). I'm not too concerned about losing some compression w/ the spacers for the winter and spring cause I'm running 19 cc domes right now at sea level (race fuel) so I got some psi to lose if need be. Also here are my mods so you can tell if I can even do this. I am running the 19 domes, LRD pipes, single carb(33 and would like to keep this for now and go to 35 w/ porting), +4 timing, open airbox w/ K&N. So basically I would like a drop in +4 that will run good until I can afford to make it run perfect. Thanks for reading this long post and if you sell +4 cranks please IM me or e-mail me (mcaf29@hotmail.com) your price(including spacers or whatever you think I need) cause I'd prefer to buy from you than anyonoe else. Thanks again.
.
lol....stop building my quad. Guess we have the same mindset. Looks like your getting there a lot quicker than I am. If I ever get my pistons in I'll have a fresh top end. And I'm already saving for the crank and porting for the next rebuild.
mcaf29
As soon as you get your crank let me know how your pipes work with it. I know you can get LRD big bore pipes but I'm not sure when you gotta go to them. Of course, LRD hasn't e-mailed me back yet about this.
